Course Prerequisites
Before you can commence this paramedic training you will need a current unrestricted Australian or International Driver's Licence and have no disabilities that may prevent you from carrying out the duties required for someone with these qualifications. You must also have a current Advanced First Aid Certificate and have held it for at least 12 months.

A police background check will also be undertaken prior to commencing this course.

Successful completion of the Certificate IV Healthcare (Ambulance) course is also a prerequisite for the Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance)

That's why we are flexible in the amount of time we allow for our students to complete each unit in each course.

You should use the times you will see on this site as a guide only*.

The Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) is made up of an e-Learning component complete with a workbook that we supply and support from an instructor.

Study time: 4 months but can be extended to 12 months.

Practical experience: 30 days (can be done in 2 blocks)
