People with this qualification are employed by industry in all geographical areas to provide first response medical care to injured people.
People who hold this certificate will usually be required to deal with initial care and treatment of people in local communities who have been injured or workers who have suffered injuries due to industrial accidents.
If you hold this qualification your job title may be Community Based First Responder, Emergency Medical Responder, Workplace First Responder or EMS First Responder.
People with these qualifications are in high demand in the industrial, mining and construction industries and employment will often be in remote areas of the country that attract higher than average rates of pay.
Course Prerequisites
Before you can commence this paramedic training you will need a current unrestricted Australian or International Driver's Licence and have no disabilities that may prevent you from carrying out the duties required for someone with these qualifications. You must also have a current Advanced First Aid Certificate and have held it for at least 12 months.
A police background check will also be undertaken prior to commencing this course.
