Once you gain this qualification you will be fully equipped to work as an intensive care paramedic or a mobile intensive care ambulance paramedic.
People with these qualifications are in high demand in the industrial, mining and construction industries and employment will often be as an industrial paramedic in remote areas that attract higher than average rates of pay.
Course Prerequisites
Before you can commence this paramedic training you will need a current unrestricted Australian or International Driver's Licence and have no disabilities that may prevent you from carrying out the duties required for someone with these qualifications. You must also have a current Advanced First Aid Certificate and have held it for at least 12 months.
A police background check will also be undertaken prior to commencing this course.
Successful completion of the Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) course is also a prerequisite for the Advanced Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance)
